The Lac de Madine is an artificial lake in the région Grand Est, in the North-East of France.
With its surface area of 11 km², it is the largest lake in Lorraine. It extends in large part between the department of Meuse and a part in Meurthe-et-Moselle.
Since 1985, the Lac de Madine is protected by the Conservatoire du littoral. It is a national reserve for hunting and wildlife since 1998.
It is also and above all, a natural site located in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of Lorraine. A site classified Natura 2000 which abounds in wonders and striking spectacles in every season.
Finally, it is a Special Protection Area since 2003 and a Special Area of Conservation since 2008.
These numerous assets make the site an essential place for nature lovers and photographers. Without forgetting the children who marvel at the contact of animals, plants and life.
The Lac de Madine welcomes you all year long. This preserved natural environment offers you many activities thanks to its leisure center.
